About Us
Katie Leaf TCRG
Katie teaches the York Irish Dance Class. She has been Irish dancing since she was seven years old and danced competitively at both a national and international level. Katie represented the school at the World Irish Dance Championships in consecutive years, gained top ten positions at both the All Scotland Championships and British National Championships and top three at the North West Regional Championships.
In 2010 Katie toured New Zealand and Australia in the Irish dance show ‘Dance of Desire’ then returned home and continued dancing until she retired from competing in 2013. Katie has continued dancing and now wishes to share her love of Irish dancing with others and after passing her TCRG exam in 2016 is ready and raring to go!
Both Andrea and Katie would like your children to enjoy Irish Dancing as much as they do. Whether your child wishes to dance competitively or just as a hobby it is our dance school's main aim to make sure that our classes are fun and that your child enjoys it.
